When you order your custom earplugs, you will need to attend an appointment with your audiologist to get your custom ear impressions taken.

A short examination of your ears is conducted to ensure that your ears are healthy, and do not have wax build ups or obstructions that would prevent a perfect impression from being taken.

A small foam or cotton block is placed in the ear canal to stop the impression material from touching your eardrum.

A silicon impression material is injected into the ear canal and outer ear. This takes approximately five minutes to set.

The impression is then removed and examined. It is essential that the impression extends past the second bend of the ear canal. This ensures a good seal giving a high performance earplug.

A second examination is performed to check that no foreign objects remain in the ear. The impressions are then sent to us for manufacture.
